Creative
- How does the "expansion" work?
- The most effective option is to have the banner auto-expand after it loads, giving the user the option to close by clicking on a button. The functionality of the banner will depend on any restrictions applied by the publisher as well. Other custom options are available.
- Can I host my own creative?
- No, In order for RMM to report and optimize effectively RMM must host and serve the banners from its servers.
- What if I don’t have a usable company logo for the banner?
- RMM can create one for you for an additional fee. We will provide cost estimates upon request.
- Can you build the landing pages for my campaign?
- Our creative team will work with you to make sure the page is optimized to achieve your goals.
- Do I have to pay for creative if I cancel the campaign?
- Yes, you will be charged if campaign is cancelled early based on the terms and conditions set forth in the CPC Expandable Terms and Conditions: “In the event that RMM agrees to design and/or build creative for no charge, Client agrees that in the event that campaign is cancelled before entire budget is spent, Client will pay the percentage of creative production charge equivalent to the percentage of budget that was not spent. Additionally, if creative is designed free of charge, that creative will remain the property of RMM and may be purchased by Client at a cost based on the Company's standard hourly rates ($125/hr).”
Ad Guidelines
- What file size limits do you have?
- Our maximum file size for a CPC Expandable is 50KB. Most banners can meet this requirement unless they include complex graphics, audio, video, or special movement within the banner. Our creative production team can work with you to optimize your creative, provide estimates of the final file size, and typically can build the file within these specifications.
- What if my file size is larger than 50KB?
- The largest file size we can publish is 100K. There are additional costs for serving banner creative that is greater than 50KB, incremented by file size.
- What sizes can we run?
- For the RMM CPC Expandable, we offer a custom 728x90 pixel banner, which expands to 728x315 either automatically or on user action. Running oddly shaped banners makes placement and optimization difficult and can reduce the performance of the campaign. RMM CPC Expandable are in the industry standard 728x90 pixel format, which offers great performance and greater distribution.
- What files do you need from me to make the banner?
- Supported File formats (vector-based files are preferred) Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Flash (FLA), QuarkXPress, Adobe Fireworks, Macromedia Freehand, PDF, EPS, JPG, PNG, TIFF. Please include all original images and font files with any source file.
Reporting and Targeting
- How many/how often can I get screen shots?
- For custom channels, we provide up to 2 screen shots per week with 48 hour turnaround time.
- How can I track post-click activity?
- By placing tracking pixels on strategic pages on your website, we are able to track and provide reporting on post-click activity. This activity includes sales, registrations, leads, and information requests.
- What kind of reporting do you provide for run-of-network CPC Expandables?
- You will be given a login to the RMM RedZone system. Our standard reporting includes overall campaign impressions, clicks and click through rate. Upon request, we can also provide post-impression / click activity including sales, leads, information requests, etc.
- What kind of reporting do you provide for Custom Channel CPC Expandables?
- You will be given a login to the RMM RedZone system. Our standard reporting includes listing of all sites in the media plan and reporting by categorized blocks of websites including block-by-block detail on impressions, clicks, and click-through rate. Upon request, we can also provide post-impression/click activity including sales, leads, and information requests.
- Can you track leads for my campaign?
- Yes, using our Lead Tracker technology we can capture and provide instant notification to you upon receipt of a lead. In addition, we provide you a login to a lead management system that contains all the collected data from your prospects. There is a one-time fee for the setup and implementation of LeadTracker.
- What is your optimization process for run-of-network campaigns?
- For run-of-network campaigns, RMM launches the campaign on targeted sites that are most likely to achieve your objectives. Once launched, we will begin to eliminate non-performing websites after three days and add your banner to new websites to achieve the optimal level of performance. We then monitor and re-optimize daily. We typically optimize based on click through rate, but can optimize on other client objectives as well.
- What is your optimization process for custom channel campaigns?
- For campaigns running in a custom channel, we implement the campaign on targeted sites grouped in blocks of sites. We then optimize the campaign starting three days after launch to remove non-performing sites and add in new sites from the approved site list to achieve the optimal level of performance. We then monitor and re-optimize the campaign daily. We typically optimize based on click-through rate, but can optimize on other client objectives as well.
Placement
- Can I see my banners running?
- RMM provides screenshots upon request showing your banners live on the RMM network.
- How soon can I get started?
- We can typically get you an insertion order with 24 hours. Our turn- around time for building the banners once we receive all creative assets is 10 business days.
- How do you perform geo-targeting?
- This targeting is based on the IP address of the visitor to the website.
Sales/Purchasing
- How much do you charge for creating CPC Expandables?
- Cost of creative production depends on the complexity and time requirements. For small changes to existing banners created by RMM, there is usually no charge.
- Can I reuse or distribute the banners?
- Any banner creative produced by RMM at no charge can be distributed on the RMM network. RMM charges a creative production fee if banners are provided for use outside the RMM network.
- How do you select which sites go into which block?
- The sites are assigned to blocks by availability of inventory and vertical targeting as relevant.
- What is your credit approval process?
- RMM requires completed, signed credit applications from all customers in order to establish Net billing terms. The customer must complete and sign the RMM Credit Application or provide their company information sheet and a signed RMM Credit Application. The approval process typically takes about 3 business days. Typically, the turnaround time for credit references is 24 hours, but the banks require 48-72 hours to respond. The customer may initiate a campaign by prepaying a portion of the campaign cost until the credit process is complete. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, wire transfers, and company checks for prepayments.
- Do you give discounts for pre-payment?
- Yes. We offer a 3% discount for pre-payment by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and company checks.
